One of the best ski mountains in all of North America, Whistler Blackcomb is a huge double mountain Canadian ski resort offering every type of snow activity you can think of (skiing, heli-skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, dog sledding, even Snow Cat tours). The name Whistler comes from the call of the hoary marmot, native to the area. Only 10,000 live in the area, but over two million visit the mountain every year. In 2010, they will host the Winter Olympics.
